If yes, then apply for the Agricultural Innovation for Climate Resilience Programme (AICR) by 01 March 2023 with your innovative idea. Climate Finance Accelerator Nigeria: Call for Proposals

The Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) is a global technical assistance programme funded by the UK government to directly support climate projects to access finance. In Nigeria, the CFA brings together the key actors in the climate finance investment chain: project proponents and developers, finance providers, and policymakers. The aim of this accelerator is to facilitate a collaborative approach to unlocking finance for climate projects at scale and creating a pipeline of ‘investment ready’ low carbon projects. The CFA also seeks to deliver several co-benefits, such as supporting a just transition and green recovery efforts from COVID-19 through inclusive approaches to sustainable development, improved gender equality, and building resilience to climate impacts. Water Science Policy Photostory Competition

Are you an individual who loves telling meaningful stories with photos? Then, you should apply for the Water Science Policy Photostory Competition. You stand a chance to win €400, and your photos featured in a global photobook and displayed in New York during the UN 2023 Water Conference. Building on UNESCO’s cross-disciplinary mandate on culture, education and natural sciences, Water Science Policy, under the patronage of UNESCO’s World Water Assessment Program, is facilitating this photostory competition. It is intended to: Prize Details The winning submissions of this competition wield the power to inspire millions by telling stories of how people come together to improve water resources, connect the unconnected, celebrate life and value nature. The three winners will be officially announced on 10th February 2023 and receive a financial prize. The top 15 winning pieces will be exhibited at the UN 2023 Water Conference in New York, March 2023, a prestigious event which will shape the way we manage water over the next decade. UNWTO Startup Competition for Island Destinations

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and the Institución Ferial de Canarias (INFECAR), are joining forces in the UNWTO Startup Competition for Island Destinations to source the most sustainable, innovative and disruptive business models to provide answers and smart solutions to the complex challenges island destinations are facing, especially after the aftermath of the pandemic. The UNWTO Startup Competition for Island Destinations will source entrepreneurs and stakeholders from across the globe that can offer innovative, smart and sustainable solutions for island destinations. The call will identify and support those that contribute to the post-pandemic recovery and resilience of the tourism ecosystem of island destinations through the development of innovative and smart tourism solutions and products. Selected Finalists will be invited to pitch their solutions in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain on 16 March 2023.  Categories Category 1- Deep Tech: New technologies applied to sustainability: Innovative startups who could assist island destinations to achieve and accelerate, by using and developing new technologies and digital tools applied to sustainability within a specific island context.
