This will be an opportunity to highlight Africa\u2019s innovative startups \/ SMMEs and a platform to strengthen each country\u2019s entrepreneurship ecosystem.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Applications are open to: <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Tech startups at pre-seed or seed stage with at least a <a href=\"https:\/\/msmehub.org\/staging\/6671\/how-to-validate-start-up-ideas-with-design-thinking\/\">Minimum Viable Product<\/a> (MVP)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Non-tech startups or SMMEs that are post revenue.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Successful applicants will be invited to participate in a bootcamp which will be in preparation ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/msmehub.org\/staging\/6671\/how-to-leverage-story-telling-for-your-business-pitch\/\">pitching<\/a> competitions taking place in their respective countries.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The final pitch of the GEC+ Africa 2024 Entrepreneurship Pitching Competitions\u00a0will have an audience consisting of <a href=\"https:\/\/msmehub.org\/staging\/6671\/what-investors-look-for-in-a-start-up\/\">investors<\/a> and Entrepreneur Support Organisations from all over the continent. The top 3 winners will share a prize of\u00a0<strong>$50 000<\/strong>\u00a0and will have an opportunity to join an accelerator programme post the congress.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Assessment <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Criteria<\/strong> <strong>for GEC+ Africa 2024 Entrepreneurship Pitching Competitions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Applicants whose pitch decks are deemed suitable will be invited to pitch to judges during the lead up activity.
